Campo di Brenzone:
A hamlet brought back to life through art, nature and community
Nestled in the heart of Brenzone, Campo is a medieval hamlet suspended between Lake Garda and Monte Baldo, where time seems to slow down amid stone houses, ancient olive groves, and breathtaking panoramas.
Campo can be reached on foot from Castelletto, Fasor, and Marniga, via well-marked trails winding through olive trees and dry-stone walls. Each step immerses you in the quiet beauty and rich history of a place where the past whispers and the future beckons.
Here, the Fondazione Campo has been working for years to revitalize the village, promoting sustainable tourism, cultural initiatives, and the restoration of its architectural heritage through community projects and volunteer efforts.
Art among centuries-old olive trees
Campo has become a natural stage, home to the Teatro degli Ulivi, an open-air amphitheatre nestled among centuries-old olive trees. This unique venue hosts concerts, theatrical performances, and artistic installations, making it a cultural hub for visitors and locals alike.
Among the most popular events is the music festival "Notti Magiche a Campo", held every year in the first half of August and organised by CTG Brenzone in collaboration with the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Brenzone.
The festival brings together music and nature during a weekend filled with outstanding performers and a wide range of musical genres, to be enjoyed beneath the stars. During the event, Campo is transformed into a natural amphitheatre nestled in the peaceful setting of the Teatro degli Ulivi. Artists who have taken part in recent editions include Irene Grandi, Filippo Graziani, Mauro Ottolini and Luca Barbarossa.
Traditions, community, and year-round events
But Campo never sleeps: from the Easter Monday weekend with the “Merenda nell’Oliveta” to the opening of the handcrafted Christmas nativity scenes, every moment of the year becomes an opportunity to come together.
Music concerts, guided walks, and experiences linked to local culture — including visits to the medieval church of San Pietro in Vincoli — are just some of the events featured in the programme.
The Fondazione Campo supports all these initiatives, promoting cultural routes, children’s workshops, artistic residencies (AIR Campo), and participatory restoration projects that involve both residents and guests.
